MaatraCare ("we", "us"), a product of Keevaath LLC, provides an eldercare coordination platform for families. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information: name, email, phone number, and password (stored in hashed form via Amazon Cognito).
Elder care information: details you choose to add about an elder, such as name, health notes, medications, emergency contacts, and care preferences.
Usage information: basic technical data such as device type, browser, and interactions needed to operate the service.

How We Use Information

To provide and operate the eldercare features you use.
To send transactional messages (verification, password reset, and emergency notifications you configure).
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

How Information Is Stored and Protected

Data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest using AES-256. Access is restricted through authentication and least-privilege controls.

Third-Party Services

We use a limited set of trusted processors to operate the service: Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), Stripe (payment processing), Twilio (messaging), Resend (email delivery), and Google Cloud Translation (language translation). These providers process data only as needed to perform their function.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Information is shared only with the processors above, or when required by law.

Your Choices and Rights

You may access, update, or delete elder profiles and your account information within the app.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR, CCPA, or India's DPDP Act, including access, correction, and deletion.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active. When you delete an elder profile or your account, associated data is removed, subject to a short retention window for recovery and any legal obligations.

Children

MaatraCare is intended for use by adults coordinating care. It is not directed to children under 18.
